Customized robot by isle of wight artist Veronica Grimm

A fast shutter speed caught these two trying to escape the studio, they have been unhappy for some time now, no one has paid them any attention, they felt threatened and under appreciated.
As customized robots they are on the small side (3inches tall) I explained that humans do not really understand why they have made and so, to get their self respect back, I have given them an adventure holiday down behind the settee where the giant spiders live.

low brow art by isle of wight artist Veronica Grimm

FREDDY my pet! feline from initial sketch to a stone carving, then a portrait on box canvas 16inches x 16inches, what the punters would call LOWBROW art.
I would not give myself a label but lowbrow gets bounded about a lot, I think its more comiceee.
painted in acrylic.
the granite rock slice is however very unusual (what the stone carving is sitting on), it originates from Western Australia and is called orbicular granite due to the round crystalisation patterns.
I believe this is the only granite in the world to show this patternation and as yet only theories exist on how it was formed. If you look at your common types of granites which are made up of masses of crystals this one looks like exploding raindrops.

Splat: Women and Helicopter collide

The Carbon footprint made by us poor humans here at home breathing, our little cars, holidays etc, etc.
The BBC keep up the good work for the Government and tell us how much carbon this is producing and how much that is producing. (WE MUST PAY MORE TAX)
Why do the BBC not mention the large Carbon sinks ie the Oceans.
Why do they not mention how much carbon is being produced by our tanks. fighter airplanes. supply lines, (two wars must produce a lot of carbon)
Or are they all linked, BBC, Carbon, Higher taxes, Government Wars, increased poverty in Britain.

Nightmares keep me awake by Veronica Grimm

Even Bam Bam gets them, those unwelcome visitors on a night, but they come for a reason! To remind us that out there real horrors do exist.
NO,I do not mean council officials, traffic wardens, ridiculous laws and CCTV. No, I am talking about my Dad Mr Grimm, (himself) he is coming to the Island next week for a holiday but his real reason is to check up on me, to make sure I am correctly passing over the dead.
There is a wicked and TOTALLY unfounded rumour that I am passing the dead direct to my uncle Lucifer.
I captured these background Goulies seeping from Bam Bams mind and set them on Box Canvas 30inches x 40inches

Customized toy by Veronica Grimm (Toy robot)

18 inches tall on wooden stand painted in acrylic with new neutron particle beam enhancer (very hard to source) and vocal output generator.
The next generation in house protection robots. Ex military design, now on the open market, there only real drawback is the ability to dismember any living being that does not have the correct DNA sequences in there memory circuits, the good news is, they tend to mop up the mess after them and always inform next of kin.
17000 now languish behind front doors on the Isle of Wight, the first test case area.
It has come to light that there is now a very clear shortage in tradesmen on the Island especially plumbers.
The local council refrutes the comments that this may be due to the new house protection robots.

Gun Totting Grimm to the Rescue

Veronica Grimms legacy, Boudoirs of celtic, seventies, urban splendor.
Her colour taste can be questioned but she is very old and needs some colour to stimulate her crazed mind.

Exhumed Egyptian Mummies used for illegal warfare by Veronica Grimm

News Flash: Egyptian mummies are being dug up and prepared for illegal warfare tasks.
On awakening they are confused and dazed after 10000yr sleep and readilly except prototype body organs of kevlar and polyprotein chitens, chain gun munitions and high intensity blast weoponary.
They are also equipted with body cavities filled with spy operater and decode facilities.
the Mad mummies are then programmed to operate alongside UN troops in dangerous areas scaring the bejesus out of the local militia.
It is expected these new very ugly troops will be combat ready within the next decade,
There is one problem they appear to be immortal and the housing of future generations could become problematic.

Live Studies, Isle of Wight paintings, Sandown Bay.

Late May early June the weather was fresh and clear on the beach but hot inland, the sea was breaking roughly up the top end of Sandown bay near the whitecliffs at Culver.
At the end of each day in the studio (usually around 2pm). (I tend to be an early day person and do most of my creative work in the morning.)
I made my way to the top of the Cliffs at culver descended via a tretcherous vertical path to near the beach, hunkered down and did some loose seascapes, thickly painted in impasto style using quick drying acrylics.
The large canvas is 30inches x 40inches, driftwood from the beach finishes off the others.

3inch Dunny Customized by Veronica Grimm (Martian Babe)

My first custom of a Kidrobot urban vinyl dunny, this was initially an Azteca Dunny (I do not have any blanks) that I sprayed over and repainted into a now chubby less attractive Mars Attacks female.
I have a question? I have looked on various sites but I cannot find anyone who sells boxes of small blank Dunnies.

The Isle of Wight Needs More Robots

Servitor Mark 1, concept design.
Innovation for the future posterity of the Island we must acknowledge that our Councillors and Council have no direction and the general decline of the Island is due to massive under investment. However I hear Sandown Leaders have a way of sorting this problem, they intend to upgrade the toilets, plant more flowers and place more doggy bins all this is great but hardly an investment into the town that will bring in more exclusive retail shops, up market Cafes and a steady stream of affluent consumers.
My contribution is to grow Servitors de-skin councillors and replace.
Fully implanted with intelligence chips more robust decisions can be made and Sandown can become the most sought after holiday destination inthe UK.
All I need is your support.

Suppose Life is a Delusion by Veronica Grimm

Acrylic on Box Canvas 30inches x 40inches.

I think all artists need dedication and lots of practice I know I am not the best artist in the world, never will be, but I am dedicated, I try to come up with concepts daily, sketch them down and attempt to complete artwork to strict deadlines.
The rejection element of putting your art out there must be used positively so you can keep going.
Never be discouraged, for me its a hard steep climb to trying to improve and always will be.
Pink Teds Great Escape is about how hollow our society has become. (Consumerism has won).

Mars Attacks Babe By Veronica Grimm

Acrylic on Box Canvas 30inches x 40inches.
I loved the character of the martians in a womens disguise so I apologise if every now and then I do another picture of Precilla Presley in her martian role.
This painting took 3 days to do, I found the whirls on her dress a problem.
I am in the process of designing a Mars Attacks Dunny which I shall post as soon as it is completed unfortunately I do not have any blank Dunnys so I have done a most terrible thing and painted over an Azteca Dunny, it was however a duplicate in my collection.

Customizing toys by Veronica Grimm (Discarded Dolly into Vampirella)

I found this Dolly battered and bruised, lazily floating in the sea at Sandown at the weekend, she was naked with matted acrylic hair covered in oil.
I sliced the hair off and washed body in turps, rebuilt hair and painted on clothing and boots, retouched face then made a skull and bone base from sculpey and real rabbit bones found locally on the cliffs , finished her off with that distinguishing bat tattoo on her chest.
Model stands approx 6 inches tall soft vinyl, sculpey, bones and acrylic paint.
