First time the quay arts, the islands leading art gallery has held an exhibition which contains spraycan art was set up today 4th november 2009 and as the set up was underway complaints were being made by the local public about the content of the exhibition.
seven spraycan paintings of women in and around the water some clothed some not plus 18 framed sketches, monoprints and bleached paintings of women models.
As the complaints came in it was relayed to me that the exhibition may be pulled and still might, so much for the islands regard for different types of art.
My opinion is that the work i have put forward is in no way offensive only one spraycan piece shows upper torso, another a bare bum, i am ammazed that in this day and age my art should be so victimized.
the exhibition should run from 5th november to 15th december lets see if it does or not.
the island is a nice place to live but its a crap place to show contemplorary art.
